2015 Singapore Open – 1st Place

Letting go of his trusty Abdul Control that won him two local Open Qualifier tournaments, and harnessing instead the explosive power of the Knights of the Round Table and the Regalia, our very own Jonathan deJoseph won the 2015 Singapore Open and secured his spot at the World Championships in Japan this September!

Jonathan is the brains behind the deck that Paxi and I used to take the top spots at the Philippine Nationals. In Singapore, he brought a better version of his creation, which he took to a total of 18 wins and only 3 losses in games throughout the day.

Ruler: Faria, the Sacred Queen / Faria, the Ruler of God Sword

4 Excalibur, the God’s Sword
4 Laevateinn, the Demon Sword

4 Thunder
4 Rapid Decay

4 Percival, the Seeker of Holy Grail
4 Guinevere, the Jealous Queen
4 Gawain, the Knight of the Sun
4 Galahad, the Son of the God
4 Lancelot, the Knight of Mad Demon
4 Hector de Maris, the Acolyte of Mad Demon

4 Magic Stone of Heat Ray
2 Magic Stone of Moon Shade
2 Magic Stone of Moon Light
1 Almerius, the Levitating Stone
1 Little Red, the True Stone

Sideboard:
Melgis, the Flame King / Melgis, the One Charmed by the Demon Sword
4 Realm of Pure Spirits
3 Bloody Moon
3 Longinus, the Holy Lance
2 Dream of Juliet
2 Mordred, the Traitor

The biggest changes in Jonathan’s version was putting all eight Regalia into his main deck, relocating Mordred to the sideboard, and cutting Tristan off for Dream of Juliet. The stone count is properly fixed as well, resulting in a more streamlined deck.

  1. Do you have a place I can contact you? Email perhaps? I have some more in depth questions about this deck and play styles as well as in depth questions about the side board…
